
Boys 1st-5th grades
Provides boys with fun activities that strengthen character, self-esteem, and ability to get along with others. Boys meet weekly in small groups (dens) under the direction of volunteer den leaders, and monthly in a pack meeting with families and other dens for public recognition and encouragement. Cubs work on award requirements (advancements) with their families.

Boys 6th-12th grades
Encourages increased self-reliance in older boys. Camping, outdoor activities and a challenging advancement program are used to develop self-confidence and leadership skills and to introduce youth to over 100 hobby and career choices. They learn by doing, as preparation for adult roles in their families and society.

Young men & women, 14-20 years, or 9th grade and up
New program (1998) of the BSA in the United States. Focuses on a special avocation or hobby interest such as high adventure activities, sports, youth ministry, the arts and other hobbies. Venturing encourages personal development, service, team work, and advancement.

Young adults (men and women),
14-20 years, or 9th grade and up
Allows young men and women to explore career interests, develop social skills, take on challenging career adventures, grow through service and citizenship activities, and take on increasingly responsible roles as they operate their post, assisted by adult advisors in the workplace setting.
